About The Bundle

The Halo Edge 4K records at 4K 2160p in a single front-facing channel. It has no screen, which keeps the body compact and the windscreen uncluttered. The quick-release bracket allows the camera to be mounted in seconds and removed just as quickly.

4K is the right choice if number plate legibility matters most to you. At 4K, the camera resolves detail at a distance that 1080p misses, such as partial plates in poor light, vehicles cutting across from adjacent lanes, and pedestrian detail in low-contrast conditions. The footage is larger in file size, but H.265 compression and a 64GB SD card in this bundle give approximately 4 to 5 hours of recording before overwriting.

Parking mode requires the hardwiring kit. When connected to the fuse box, the G-sensor monitors for movement or impact and triggers recording automatically. A battery voltage cut-off prevents drain while parked. The kit supports connection to most standard fuse box layouts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the Halo Edge 4K bundle?

The bundle includes the Road Angel Halo Edge 4K single-channel dash cam, a 64GB SD card, and a hardwiring kit. A 12V USB power cable and quick-release windscreen mount are also included.

What resolution does the Halo Edge 4K record at?

The Halo Edge 4K records at 4K 2160p at 30fps in a single front-facing channel using H.265 compression. It includes a quick-release mount and parking mode via the hardwiring kit.

Do I need the hardwiring kit for parking mode on the Halo Edge?

Yes. Parking mode requires a continuous low-voltage feed. The hardwiring kit connects to the fuse box and maintains power to the camera in G-sensor standby. A battery voltage cut-off protects against battery drain.

How much recording time does 64GB give at 4K?

At 4K with H.265 compression, a 64GB card stores approximately and up to 4 to 5 hours of continuous loop recording. The camera overwrites the oldest footage automatically when the card is full. For most drivers this covers a full day's commuting. The Halo Ultima supports cards up to 256GB, so you can extend retention by using a larger card.

Does the Halo Edge 4K bundle include a Road Angel subscription?

No. The camera records and uses parking mode without a subscription. All memory is stored locally on the included Automotive-grade SD card. Pair the Halo with a Road Angel Pure Sync adds the UK speed camera database, maintained by dedicated field operatives.

What is the difference between the Halo Edge 4K and the Halo Guard 2K?

The Halo Edge records at 4K 2160p; the Guard records at 2K 1440p. Both are single-channel front-facing cameras with parking mode, GPS, and quick-release mounts. The Edge delivers sharper footage at the cost of faster card fill at high resolution. The Guard costs slightly less at bundle pricing.

Is professional installation needed for the Halo Edge 4K?

Not required. installation is available at the checkout. A single-channel system is simpler to install than dual-channel. A capable home installer can complete the job with the included fuse tap kit and guide.
