The Halo Edge 4K records at 4K 2160p in a single front-facing channel. It has no screen, which keeps the body compact and the windscreen uncluttered. The quick-release bracket allows the camera to be mounted in seconds and removed just as quickly.
4K is the right choice if number plate legibility matters most to you. At 4K, the camera resolves detail at a distance that 1080p misses, such as partial plates in poor light, vehicles cutting across from adjacent lanes, and pedestrian detail in low-contrast conditions. The footage is larger in file size, but H.265 compression and a 64GB SD card in this bundle give approximately 4 to 5 hours of recording before overwriting.
Parking mode requires the hardwiring kit. When connected to the fuse box, the G-sensor monitors for movement or impact and triggers recording automatically. A battery voltage cut-off prevents drain while parked. The kit supports connection to most standard fuse box layouts.
