Quick Start Guide

About The Bundle

The Halo Vision installs differently from a conventional dash cam. It clips over your rear view mirror using adjustable straps, positioning the recording hardware in a location where it does not visually intrude on the driver's field of view. From outside the vehicle, it is much harder to identify as a recording device than a camera mounted on the windscreen.

This matters for two groups of drivers. The first is those who park in locations where visible recording equipment makes a vehicle a higher-value target for break-ins. The second is company car users who prefer a camera system that integrates with the vehicle's interior rather than sitting visibly on the glass.

The camera records front and rear, providing coverage from both directions simultaneously. The hardwiring kit in this bundle enables parking mode via the fuse box. When the ignition is off, the G-sensor keeps the camera in standby and triggers recording on movement or impact.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the Halo Vision bundle?

The bundle includes the Road Angel Halo Vision rear view mirror dash cam, a 64GB SD card, and a hardwiring kit. A 12V power cable is also included. The camera clips over the existing rear view mirror using adjustable straps.

Will the Halo Vision fit my rear view mirror?

The Halo Vision fits most standard passenger car rear view mirrors using the included adjustable straps. Mirrors with integrated electronics, auto-dimming, or camera systems may be more complex to fit. Check with your professional installer.

Do I need the hardwiring kit for parking mode on the Halo Vision?

Yes. Parking mode requires a continuous low-voltage feed. The hardwiring kit for the Halo Vision 2 (HWK5V-C) connects to the fuse box via mini USB and maintains power in standby when the ignition is off. A voltage cut-off protects the battery.

What resolution does the Halo Vision record at?

The Halo Vision records front at 1440p and rear 1080p, with the rear camera integrated into the mirror unit.

Does the Halo Vision bundle include a Road Angel subscription?

No. The camera records and uses parking mode without a subscription. Paired with A Road Angel Pure Sync subscription adds the UK speed camera database, maintained by a dedicated team of field operatives.

What is the difference between the Halo Vision 2 and the Halo Vision 3?

The Halo Vision 3 is the current 4K model with a Sony Starvis sensor and 10-inch LCD touchscreen. The Halo Vision is the predecessor and records at a lower resolution without a touchscreen. If you want 4K and an on-device display, the Vision 3 bundle is the right choice. The Vision remains an option at a lower price point.

How much recording time does 64GB give on the Halo Vision?

Recording time depends on the camera's resolution and compression settings. At typical mirror cam resolutions, a 64GB card gives several hours of loop-recorded footage. Exact figures are available on the product specification page.
