The Halo Vision installs differently from a conventional dash cam. It clips over your rear view mirror using adjustable straps, positioning the recording hardware in a location where it does not visually intrude on the driver's field of view. From outside the vehicle, it is much harder to identify as a recording device than a camera mounted on the windscreen.
This matters for two groups of drivers. The first is those who park in locations where visible recording equipment makes a vehicle a higher-value target for break-ins. The second is company car users who prefer a camera system that integrates with the vehicle's interior rather than sitting visibly on the glass.
The camera records front and rear, providing coverage from both directions simultaneously. The hardwiring kit in this bundle enables parking mode via the fuse box. When the ignition is off, the G-sensor keeps the camera in standby and triggers recording on movement or impact.
